Description
Bellini classic road bicycle from the 1970s. Bellini is an Italian bicycle brand founded in 1976 in Cossato (Biella, Piemonte), whose founder was a former professional cyclist of the Mapei team. It manufactured bicycles just during the 1970s and 1980s and the early frames were actually built by Rauler: the brothers Raul and Reclus Gozzi were responsible for Ernesto Colnagos pantographs with their Company Rauler; overthrow with Ernesto, they started making their own bikes and frames.
This Bellini dates back to the brand´s dawn, approximately to 1977. It has been restored by the Possenti Pietro workshop in Milan and the previous owner named it "Ancilla" (Latin for maid).
The frame is made of light and sturdy Columbus SL tubes and is fully equipped with a Campagnolo Nuovo Record group set (Pat. 77). Beside that, this bicycle also shows some refined details, as the pantographed crank set and seat post, and the engraved fork crown.
An eye-catching classic bicycle to participate in L´Eroica events! Very reliable...
