Description
When it comes to vintage bicycles, there are few things as iconic as the famous "Bianchi Celeste". Forever associated with the epic victories of Fausto Coppi, the Bianchi paintwork has become a legend of cycling history.
Released in 1953 to celebrate Fausto Coppi's victory at the World Championship in Lugano, the Campione del Mondo (Italian for World Champion) was the top model of the Milanese brand and built as evolution of the Bianchi Tour de France. Unmistakable is certainly the lightweight frameset with integrated headset and chromed lugs.
This Bianchi Campione del Mondo (Frame No. 201437) stems from the mid. 1950s and is fully equipped with great parts like Campagnolo Gran Sport gearing and shifting, Universal Extra brakes, Brooks saddle and Nisi tubular rims. It also sports many Bianchi branded parts like the beautiful crankset, high flange hubs, the stem and bars combination and even the pedals!
There is always something special about Bianchi bikes from the old era, but to find a piece which is in original and such great condition is really rather difficult. With original equipment and also fully serviced in our workshop, this really is a dream bike.
For all celeste lovers and those who appreciate an all time classic.
