Description

One of the oldest and most successful manufacturer of bicycles that is still running his business is Bianchi. The famous company that was founded by Eduardo Bianchi in 1885 and produced bikes which carried dozens of famous cyclists to success.
In the year 1985 the 'celeste company' wanted to celebrate its 100st birthday with a very special bike. And good god what a special bike they made. It is the legendary Bianchi Centenario.
The frame was developed from the epic Bianchi Specialissima X4. But this time a special gunmetal coloured cromovelato paintwork made the Columbus SLX tubing completely unique.
But Bianchi would not have been Bianchi had they not added very special parts. A complete Campagnolo C-Record groupset of the first year, pantographed with special Bianchi Centenario engravings! Of course with the extremely rare 'sherrif star' road hubs.
On top of this equipment there is the Almarc handlebar cover from celeste coloured leather and the leather applications on the air pump.
This bike most certainly is a piece for an avid collector or a fan of the extra exclusive. Frame number No. 280.
