Description
Bianchi famously is the oldest Italian bicycle manufacture which is still in business. Throughout their more then 130 years of history, they gave forth to an enormous amount of top class racing bikes, always trying to be ahead of the competition.
This Bianchi EV Titanium is an interpretation of the Mega-Pro series and comes with the massive downtube which is typical for those exemplars.
Here Bianchi tried to bring the relatively flexible material that titanium is into a more rigid form than normal round tubes. They formed a so called 'mega tube' by welding titanium sheets together which then served as a downtube. For some time Bianchi had Litespeed doing the titanium welding for them but some had also been done at Bianchi's famous Reparto Corse division.
The Bianchi we present here is one of the latter. And so it bears the name of a famous rider who was triumphant in Roubaix on a Bianchi. We were not able to find out if this was a special Magnus Bäckstedt edition or if the bike was once planned to be used bei 'Magnus Maximus' himself. The size would be a good fit though.
The Frame is combined with a Bianchi carbon fiber fork and has been equipped with a Campagnolo 10-Speed groupset. The wheelset has been freshly laced and is readfy to take you on a relaxed weekend jaunt - or a bit of pavé if you preferred that.
