Description
The mid 1980s were an exiting time regarding Bianchi's top class models. Some of the finest Constructions left Milan in these years to shine a celeste light onto the world. There is the Specialissima X3, then - of course - the Centenario anniversary model and the Specialissima X4. But there are also the high class models which left the Reparto Corse workshop with their details that derived from the regular series.
Our piece is one of the high class frames made by the Bianchi's special racing division. Details like the seat stay caps are clearly borrowed from the Specialissima X4 as are the head lugs. Also almost identical bottom bracket shell had been used on some X4 bikes before.
The tubing differs from the X4, as it has classic round shapes and uses Columbus SL tubing.
The fully chromed fork has a lugged fork crown with nice "Bianchi" engravings.
The frame has been fully refurbished in the iconic Bianchi celeste.
