Description
Bianchi is one of the most wanted and iconic Italian bicycle manufacturers. The famous company was founded by Eduardo Bianchi in 1885 and produced road bicycles which carried dozens of famous cyclists to success. Their top of the line model produced for professional cyclists from the early 1960s to late 1980s was the Specialissima. If you hear Bianchi, then you probably immediately think of light green, so called 'celeste' color and that is how our Bianchi Specialissima from 1979 is painted.
Our Bianchi Specialissima from 1979 features for the first time (in the Specialissima line) brazed-on cable guides on the top tube as shifting cables guided on the bottom side of the bottom bracket. The frame and fork are hand-made from Columbus SL steel tubes and have the typical Bianchi pantographs on the lugs and the fork crown.
This classic road racer is equipped with the best available group - Campagnolo Super Record from the same period of time, 3ttt stem and bars and the iconic Mavic GP4 rims.
We completely checked and serviced the bicycle in order to make it ridable but still keep as original as possible. All bearings run smooth, the cables are new and the shifting system operates perfectly! If you are looking for an authentic classic roadbike to participate in one of the heroic cycling events like Eroica in California or Velo Classico in Germany (the list of such events is getting longer every year!), then this is the perfect choice!
Some reasons why you will love this bike:
#1: It's THE iconic Italian roadbike - Bianchi Specialissima in Celesete...
#2: Great parts - Campagnolo Super Record
#3: Checked by us and ready to ride to your next adventure!
#4: The frame will allow you bigger tires up to 700Cx32 and the derailleur can handle up to 28 teeth - thus suitable for strade bianche action.
AND... As usual: we package professionally and ship world wide - it's safe & quick!
