Description
When it comes to vintage bicycles, there are few colours as iconic as the famous "Bianchi Celeste". Forever associated with the epic victories of Fausto Coppi and Felice Gimondi, the Bianchi paintwork has become a legend of cycling history.
L'Eroica events are always packed with celeste bicycles; they are some of the most desirable bicycles in the world of vintage cycling. Their popularity at events like these goes to illustrate the prestige of Bianchi and the desirability of some of their finest models just like the one we present here:
The Bianchi Specialissima Super Leggera from 1975.
The Specialissima Super Leggera (the Italian for "extra light") was on of the most famous Bianchi models of the 1970s. And with not more than 8.9kg this bike is pretty lightweight for its time, indeed.
The Bianchi frame and fork are equipped with parts of the first generation of the iconic Campagnolo Super Record group set. The bike shines - of course - in its very typical "Celeste Bianchi" color.
This genuine classic racing bike is furthermore equipped with the famous Almarc leather bar cover - like all top class 1970s Bianchi´s starting from 1975, the year in which Almarc has been founded.
A true masterpiece of the cycling history, for all the Bianchi enthisiasts!
