Bianchi Specialissima X4 Argentin Vintage Road Bike

Probably one of the finest and most beautiful steel racing bicycles ever produced, the Bianchi Specialissima X4 is a limited edition of the famous Bianchi Specialissima model. Bianchi produced the Specialissima X4 for six years between 1986 and 1991, as a development of the "Centenario 1985" model.

This exemplar has a refurbished paintwork in great condition. The frame itself is made of superb Columbus SLX tubes and shows the typical Columbus 'Air' fork and rear triangle.

Beside that, the main features of this Bianchi Specialissima X4 are:

• - the rounded, pantographed seat stay caps
• - the Silva brake bridge with the pantographed writing "X4"
• - the internally routed rear derailleur and brake cables
• - the engraved head tube
• - the special bottom bracket shell

Also, instead of a plain celeste paint, the stays and headtube received a black colour. Moreno Argentin rode one bike with dark stays for the Team Gewiss-Bianchi when he was world champion in 1987. This feature actually earned the model the nickname Argentin.
The shifters are X4 engraved as are the shifters and the seatpost.
On the technical side, this Bianchi Specialissima is equipped with high-end Campagnolo C-Record parts. It even sports Campagnolo Omega rims and was fitted with a pair of last generation very well working Delta brakes.
