Bianchi Super Pista Track Bicycle

When it comes to vintage bicycles, there are few things as iconic as the famous "Celeste Bianchi". Indissolubly connected with the epic victories of Fausto Coppi and Felice Gimondi, the Bianchi paintwork has become a cycling legend through the years.

Ridden to the gold medal in the 1982-1983 world championships, the Bianchi Super Pista is a high-end track bike which features a frame made of Columbus PS butted tubes with very minimal tolerances and clean design, just as a proper racing machine should be!

The exemplar we present here is a bit more special, though. It has been made to the special request of the Federazione Ciclistica Italiana, the Italian Ccycling federation. The FCI had track frames made for the support of athletes by almost every major Italian frame builder. Often these bikes were variations of the extremely expensive top models on the Italian market, just built a wee bit stronger, and with different dropouts or lugs. They mostly belonged to the stock of velodromes.
When these velodromes cleaned their stock some paticularly nice bikes became available to the public. Among them Cinelli bikes, special Colnagos and, of course, our Bianchi. It belonged to the stock of the Velodromo Servadei in Forli and was bought by a collector who had it refurbished and eventually sold it to us.

This Bianchi Track bike is equipped with original Campagnolo Record Pista parts, including Campagnolo Superleggeri Pista pedals and Campagnolo Record high-flange Pista hubs. After the refurbishment it shines in the very typical "Celeste Bianchi".
Disassembled, adjusted and greased in our workshop it is ready to hit the track again and to enrich any Bianchi collection.
