Description
Possibly one of the finest and most beautiful steel racing bicycles ever produced, the Bianchi Specialissima X4 Argentin is a limited edition of the famous Bianchi Specialissima model. Bianchi produced the Specialissima X4 for six years between 1986 and 1991, as a development of the "Centenario 1985" model.
The particular version with gun-finish black painted fork and rear triangle was named after Moreno Argentin, the professional rider of the Sammontana Bianchi team who in 1986 won Liège-Bastogne-Liège and the World Championships.
This particular bicycle – Serial Number E229 – has been professionally refurbished and illustrates the very typical panache of Argentin X4 Specialissima models at its best. Made of superb Columbus SLX tubes, this Bianchi Specialissima X4 Argentin is fully fitted with a Campagnolo C-Record groupset with very iconic Cobalto brakes.
Beside that, the main features of this Bianchi Specialissima X4 Argentin are:
- the rounded style top eye joint with the pantographed writing “Bianchi” in a gold coloured paint
- the brake bridge with the pantographed writing "Bianchi" on the right side
- the internally routed rear derailleur cable
- the engraved head tube
A vintage bicycle with history and pedigree.
