Description
Boeris is a classic brand from Turin which had its frames mainly built by Guiseppe Villata.
Boeris was founded as some kind of an engineering office and cycling shop by Lorenzo Boeris in 1927. Lorenzo had developed its own patents for hubs and shifting. And of course later on the family marketed its own frames. It still builds made to measure bikes today. They even had several own cycling teams with Fiat "Boeris Fiat Agri" arguebly being the most famous one. The team bikes also were made by Guiseppe Villata, just like our Angelo Boeris Super Record Classic Pantographed Road Bike. This can be easily detected by the small circuit cutouts on the downside of the lugs.
Giuseppe Villata is one of the most skilled frame builders of Turin. Today he is the last one of the old league of Turin artisans who is still running a workshop and is keeping the great heritage of the Torinese manufactures alive.
He built our Boeris bike using Columbus SL (Super Leggeri = Super Light) tubing - the choice for most professional frames back then. To keep up with the frameset a Campagnolo Super-Record gruppo has been installed. With a 28 teeth freewheel this Boeris is quite fit for your next ride in hilly terrain. Of course it is also a great choice for L'Eroica races!
