Description

Bottecchia is a very traditional company which started as the small cyclery of Carnielli and was improved in 1924 by Ottavio Bottecchia, the first Italian Tour de France winner (1924, 1925). A new company with his name name “Bottecchia” was born after the mysterious and tragic death of Ottavio Bottecchia in 1926.

The bicycles they produced were high end pieces which carried numerous champions to victory.
Many might still remember how Greg Lemond won his 1989 Tour de France on a Bottecchia Equipe.

The bike we present here is pretty much one of the classic builds from this time. It is built from light and strong Columbus EL tubing. As for the parts it is equipped with a Campagnolo Chorus groupset of the first generation

This bike really is a beautiful exemplar of high tech steel framing with a classic design.
A wonderful ride for long weekend trips and, of course, perfectly fit for a L'Eroica adventure.
