Description

Ramata, a translucent orange paintjob on a chromed frame, is known to most people from Wilier Triestina bikes. But it is not exclusive to them! Our beautiful Bruno Classic Italian Steel Road Bike from 1955 shows the same fiery glow. This bike from Torino, Italy is the work of an artisan frame builder. Many private persons, companies and prestigious shops ordered from the highly skilled artisans of Turin. They were able to order frames from some of the best frame builders of the world. Turin was without doubt one of the cradles of the modern steel racing bike and home to many of the great masters of frame building. And this hotbed of bicycle ingenuity was, where this Bruno was born
The frame itself is most likely made from Falck tubing which has been connected by strong yet elegant lugs. As for the parts, the bruno is equipped with the best you could get back then. Shifting and hubs are Campagnolo. Bearings and crankset Magistroni, brakes Universal.
This really rather rare piece from the 1950s is still good enough for many rides and will draw a lot of attention, that's for sure. Be it on your wall or on an Eroica ride.
