The brilliantly formed tubes are connected to a slack-angled, long frame of distinct beauty.
Most parts are still original, including the B.S.A. crankset.
Birmingham Small Arms was a company well known for weaponry and later for motorcycles. But when they started to produce bicycles, they were up there with the other famous high quality rides of its time. In fact, their chainsets would become a favourite with many 6-day racers!
On the technical side, our Special Road Racer is a minimalistic bike. It comes with the then typical single rear brake and a singlespeed freewheel.
Cycling fast on such a machine means nothing else than just pedalling stronger and breaking less.
This stylish racer is typical 1920s cycling hardware and would make for a great display piece.
