Burdet Anglais Ladies Road Bike 1980s

Cycles Burdet is a traditional cycling shop in the High Jura, a French part of the Alps.
In its area it has been playing the role of a go-to point for cyclists for many years.
So like many other proud bike shops they decided to feature their own shop brand. And with St.Étienne - the French cradle of bicycle manufacturing - not too far away, they had an excellent range of products to choose from.

As can be seen with our Burdet Anglais ladies road bike from the 1980s, they made excellent choices.
The frame is made of strong plain gauge Reynolds tubes, formed very elegantly with a plongeant top tube that includes an internal cable routing.
The equipment consists of a well balanced mix of French components. Most notably, a Stronglight triple chainset has been installed which has a 30t small chainring.
A bike which offers a transition to conquer steep climbs is always useful.
