Description
This Carpentari Sport classic bicycle is an excellent example of fine craftsmanship of small Italian bicycle manufacturers from the 1970s and 1980s. Carpentari is based on the shores of Lago di Garda in the ancient Town of Riva del Garda.
The frame is made of Columbus Tretubi steel tubes. The Italian for "three tubes", it means that the main triangle is likely made of Columbus SL tubes (Columbus SP for bigger frames) while the rear triangle and fork consist of Columbus Aelle tubes. Beside a very fine pearl white paintwork, it shows many details, like the cut out lugs - painted in metallic red - the pantographed fork crown and the seat stays ends. Did you also have a look at the rear brake brige? This bicycle is definitely a heap of attention to details!
Regarding the components, this Carpentari is equipped with Campagnolo Nuovo Record and Nuovo Gran Sport components with many pantographs. A Nisi Mercurio Oro wheelset, a Regina Oro 6 speed freewheel and 3ttt stem and handlebars also worth a mention.
A classic and reliable bicycle, suitable for any vintage cycling event!
