This Casati SPX Super Record certainly is one of the peaks in the long tradition of the Casati bicycle manufacture.
Founded in 1920 in Monza, Italy, the Family Casati has served generations of cyclists with their craftsmanship their passion and their technical expertise.
Casati has always been known for custom made frames which have been produced with the greatest accuracy and attention to details.
Our frame here is no exception! The material it is made of is the sturdy Columbus SPX tubing. It is the big brother of the better known SLX tubing and has been produced to help frame builders to create solutions for stronger riders and larger frames.
The real eyecatcher on our bike is the way the bottom bracket has been reinforced. It was strengthened against torsion and flexing by adding additional supporting stays. The whole structure looks so elegant and slim that it has an appeal like buttresses on a gothic cathedral.
On top you will find the typical nice details which Casati bikes usually provide: Filigree cutout bridges and stay caps, excellent paintwork and beautiful pantographs.
A Casati from the 1980s would of course not be complete without a Campagnolo Super Record groupset!
If you are looking for something extra-special and rare - just take a look at this bottom bracket!
