Founded in 1920 in Monza, Italy, the Family Casati has served generations of cyclists with their craftsmanship their passion and their technical expertise.
Casati has always been known for custom made frames which have been produced with the greatest accuracy and attention to details.
Our frame here is no exception!
It is based on Columbus Thron. Thron is an slightly oversized groupset drawn from 25CrMo4 steel alloy. The combination of double butted, oversized tubes from this excellent material is giving frames sensational characteristics. They are much stiffer than 'normal' steel frames yet the comfort you expect from them is still there. Consequently our Casati Road Bike from the 1990s
offers a beautifully smooth and reactive ride. To keep up with the performance of the frame, a Campagnolo Chorus groupset has been installed and completes the fine Italian roadster.
This bike is performing more than well enough for some racing and at the same time is comfortable enough for long weekend rides. The great condition just completes a bike which is hard to resist.
