Located in Cuneo (Piedmont, Northern Italy), C.B.T. Italia has produced high-end racing bicycles since the early 1980s, when Guido Tardivo joined the family business that his father Giovanni had established thirty years before. (Costruzioni Bici Tardivo)
This C.B.T. Italia Executive is quite typical for the extraordinary way their bikes were built. The frames are always a bit more attractive, a bit more exclusive and refined than the already elegant standard Italian road bike.
The frame is made of steel tubing with C.B.T. in-house label stating "extra strong". The top and down tube feature shallow crimps, similar to those known from Colnago Nuovo Mexico. The seat tube has a groove on the back side to leave some extra space for the back wheel to move forward, thus shortening the wheelbase. The seat stays are attached to the seat lug cluster in a 'shot-in' style. and the shifting cables has been elegantly routed through the bottom bracket.
Regarding the components, a set of ultra-reliable and well performing Shimano 600 Ultegra is what you can find on this bike with addition of extra smooth rolling Mavic hubs, 3ttt cockpit and nice Rolls leather saddle.
