Located in Cuneo (Piedmont, Northern Italy), C.B.T. Italia has produced high-end racing bicycles since the early 1980s, when Guido Tardivo joined the family business that his father Giovanni had established thirty years before. (Costruzioni Bici Tardivo)


This C.B.T. Italia is quite typical for the extraordinary way their bikes were built. The frames are always a bit more attractive, a bit more exclusive and refined than the already elegant standard Italian road bike.

The tubing consists of top racing level Columbus SLX tubes featuring inner spiral reinforcements. And this artisanal frame really honors the CLB reputation perfectly. Almost all of the tubes have been somewhat altered in shape to achieve an aggressive geometry and stunning look. You will find crimps, ovalized down tube, flattened fork blades or nice engravings. The seat tube has a groove on the back side to leave some extra space for the back wheel to move forward, thus shortening the wheelbase. The rear braking cable is elegantly routed inside of the top tube. The seat stays are attached to the seat lug cluster in a 'shot-in' style and also house the clamping bolt.

Regarding the components, a set of ultra-reliable and well performing Shimano 600 Ultegra is what you can find on this bike with addition of smooth rolling hubs and sweet Cinelli cockpit.
