CBT Italia Dream Road Bike 1990s

This C.B.T. Italia Dream is quite typical for the extraordinary way their bikes were built. The frames are always a bit more attractive, a bit more exclusive and refined than the already elegant standard Italian road bike.

The tubing consists of Columbus 'superbutted' tubes from Cyclex steel. Columbus tubes were the choice of most professional riders back in the second half of the 1980s and the early 1990s.

But what makes the frame really special is the way it has been treated. The seat tube has a groove on the back side to leave some extra space for the back wheel to move forward, thus shortening the wheelbase. The rear braking cable is elegantly routed inside of the top tube. The seat stays are attached to the seat lug cluster in a 'shot-in' style and also house the clamping bolt.
Both fork stays and rear stays are fully chromed.

Regarding the components, a set of ultra-reliable Shimano is what you can find on this bike. An exception are the fast rolling Cosmic Elite wheels by Mavic
