Description

"Our mission is building the perfect bicycle both for the professional and occasional cyclists". Founded in 1925 in Verona (Italy) by Gelmino Chesini, Chesini has committed to provide cyclists with high-end racing bicycles ever since.

Being a rather small manufacturer, Chesini concentrated more on quality than on quantity. This can be easily recognised in their 1960s and 1970s frames which illustrated a rigorous attention to detail: fine engraved details and cut-outs which made Chesini frames well-known worldwide.

This Chesini Strada is one of those early builds and perfectly illustrates the Chesini panache at its best. The refined engravings and cut outs are indicators of fine and meticulous craftsmanship. Rather rare are the three-point cutouts and the heart shaped applications, which we have not seen on younger bikes so far.
Still in original condition with original paintwork, this framset is equipped with top-class Campagnolo Nuovo Record groupset, complemented by Weinmann brakes.
The whole style of the bike with rare shift cable routing under the bottom bracket, and its paintjob, make it even likely that the frame still stems from the 1960s and probably has seen a replacement of the derailleurs. In the 1960s Amateur racers were successfully racing Chesini bikes even winning world championships. And this special built with its 172.5mm cranks has been used in serious racing for sure.

The bike has been completely checked in our workshop by our mechanics: ready to ride. Moreover, this Chesini meets all requirements to take part in Eroica events worldwide and is perfect to make your adventure as memorable as possible.

A genuine Italian steel bike.
