Description
"Our real and unique intent is to build special race bikes, perfect for racers and amateurs". This is what Chesini has been doing for more than 90 years in Verona and what has made Chesini a brand renowned worldwide.
In 1925 by the skilful hands of Gelmino Chesini, founder of the prestigious brand, the first innovative bike was created.
The first model of a race bike, named biciprecision, is forged in that year in the workshop of Nesente, a small village near Verona. And until today Chesini keeps producing beautiful steel bikes, now in the City of Verona.
One of their advanced designs was a steel bike from the 1990s which we present here: the Chesini Innovation. The modern sloping geometry which provided a stiffer main frame, was something still unusual for road bikes of the early 1990s, providing a stiffer frame. And also the lugs are really thought through, with the seatlug being more than just a simple connection between tubes. The steel used for the frame construction was the slightly oversized, lightweight and strong Columbus EL Nivachrome tubeset, one of the finest tubesets around at that time.
Subsequently the frame has seen a 24k gold plating and received an extremely fine airbrush paintjob. This airbrush theme is then continued on the seatpost and the stem. Striking!
And the parts are not bad either. Nothing less than Campagnolo C-Record was used to equip this advanced machine.
Altogether this is a bike that does not only look exceptional, it also rides like dream.
Sit on it and start a long ride! This rare machine is made for many years of excessive cycling fun to come.
