Description

A hand-made steel frame by the famous and still existing Italian frame builder - Chesini - with a time trial geometry which was very typical for the late 1980sand early 1990s.

If you are looking for a special and rare bicycle, do not search further!

Its 700C rear wheel and 650C front wheel, the aggressive racing geometry and the fade-out paintwork make this bicycle a rocket ready to take off.
By looking at this lugged frame built with butted Columbus steel tubes and you will immediately fall in love with this beauty.
Many lovely details and pantographs make the difference. Last but not least - the rare components.

Being a rather small manufacturer since the 1920s, Chesini concentrated more on quality than on quantity. This can be easily recognised in their frames and parts which illustrate a rigorous attention to detail: fine engraved parts and cut-outs which made Chesini bikes well-known worldwide. Three consecutive amateur world championships in the 1960s helped as well to grow their fame.

This Chesini Recordman is one of their excellent and exceptional builds from the 1980s and perfectly illustrates the Chesini panache at its best. The refined internal cable routings, engravings and cutouts are indicators of fine and meticulous craftsmanship.

Still in excellent original condition
The compnentry is formed around a Campagnolo Super Record groupset but also includes such illustrious parts as Modolo Kronos brakes with pantographed Modolo brake levers, a San Marco Concor saddle in its rare Sprint form and a great rear disc.
The bike has been completely checked in our workshop by our mechanics and is ready to be ridden - If the UCI would still allow such a beast in competition.

A fine collector's piece.
