Description

The Piave is not just a river in Northern Italy. During the first World War, it was also a frontline which the Italians were able to hold for a very long time and thus became a symbol of national pride.
In the 1920s and 1930s the national movements were extremely strong in Italy and so it was no surprise that a newly founded cycling manufacture in the province of Treviso named itself after the River Piave and the city Santa Lucia di Piave where it was based.

The founders of this company were part of the Michelin family which had split up into one part which was manufacturing the Miche components and the other side which founded Ciclo Piave.

Their bicycles were amost excusively distributed in Treviso and the neighbour provinces, which earned them a lot of fame at home but left them relatively unknown in the rest of the world.
br> We are happy to present to you this Ciclo Piave Modello Speciale in the coulour of pistacchio icecream.
The bike is a thoroughbred racer from the 1950s with all the bells and whistles. Exquisite spear point lugs, Columbus tubing plus Magistroni and Campagnolo parts. Restored to a high standard, this beauty is completely checked and serviced and can be ridden immediately.
A beautiful and rare piece of Italian cycling heritage.
