Description
We are always smiling when one of those 1950's leasure bikes comes through our door. They are reminders of a time when the style was a bit different from today. Rides like this Cinelli Branded City Bike. It is easy to imagine a trip to the beach on this beauty, the small backpacks stuffed with sunscreen lotion and sodapops.
We do not know which brand it is and maybe the person who refurbished it did not either. He did a nice job on the paint of frame and mudguards though. The frame is quite typical for high class sporty city bikes of its era. This might have been the reason why reproduced Cinelli decals found their way onto the blue-white piece of summer feeling.
Besides its nice looks, the bike offers loads of renowned Italian components. From the FB hubs to the Balilla brakes. Some of the highlights are certainly the beautiful lights and the elegant Gara handlebar with its integrated brake levers. The frame itself has nice chromed details on the rear stays and lugs. The rear brake cable is internally routed which is one more sign that it is from a real high class manufacture.
A bike for stylish summer rides - or just the wall of your home.
