This Cinelli Model B from the 1960s is an excellent piece of cycling history. Since it entered the market, the Modello B - the 'little brother' of the Modello S.C. - has been one of the most elegant and competitive bikes available. Through the decades it has changed in small details, but always remained a thoroughbred racing bike. This model's elegance and performance are legendary.
Viktor Kapitanov's triumph in the olympic road race of 1960 on a Model B is unforgettable. Today, collectors around the globe are trying to get hold of good pieces.
The chrome on our bike is still original, whilst the paintwork has been refurbished.
As for the components, they are the best money could buy. The shifting, headset, bottom bracket, crankset, seatpost, pedals and hubs are Campagnolo Record of the first generation. It is basically everything Campagnolo offered at that time. Cockpit and Saddle are of course Cinelli. Everything is slowed down safely by a reliable set of top class Universal 61 centre pull brakes and brake levers. These were also a favorite choice of professionals back then.
Despite their quality, this bike is much more than just the sum of its parts. As a whole it is a rare legend that you will enjoy riding for years to come. And a feast for your eyes.
