Cinelli Mod. S.C. Super Corsa Classic Road Bike 1960

A bicycle which does not need many words. Simply great. The Cinelli Supercorsa is certainly one of the most legendary racing bicycles ever. Launched around 1950, the Modello S.C. - which was later called Speciale Corsa then Super Corsa and finally Supercorsa - has always been the top model of Cinelli, even after the brand was sold to the Colombo family in 1978.

The Cinelli Supercorsa perfectly embodies the essence of the Italian cycling industry and has become a trademark of design trough the decades: clean, simple and terrifically captivating. It is no coincidence that Steve Jobs used to ride a Cinelli Supercorsa as well...

This Cinelli Super Corsa is one of the early ones and stems from around 1960. It still has the oil port on the bottom bracket and the beautiful Malaguti "wolf ears" lugs. In the early 60s some of the Cinelli bikes were built with special 74 mm wide bottom bracket shells. Our bike is one of the few with this rarity. And of course as an S.C. or Super Corsa it features the elegant sloping fork crown and the iconic seat post clamping. A piece of art as well as a machine.

It is equipped with fine parts like Campagnolo Gran Sport shifting, Magistroni crank arms, Universal Extra brakes, Nisi rims, Brooks saddle and of course the Cinelli stem.

We decided to keep it as original as possible and so it still sports the original orange paintjob which however show a lot of patina. And when you look closer, every little scratch tells a fragment of the story of this unique bicycle.
