Description
Do you think that details make the difference? Do you love the typical meticulousness of handcrafted frames? Then taking a closer look at this classic bicycle might worth it!
Agostino Coletto is one of the many Italian former professional cyclists who started producing bicycles after retiring from competitions. During the 1970s-1980s a limited (yet special) amount of high-end frames left his workshop in Turin, where Mr. Coletto worked together with skilled frame builders from the prestigious Torinese tradition.
This Coletto classic road bicycle is a true handcrafted masterpiece. Built with Columbus SL tubes, the frame features the typical attention to details of a small artisan manufacturing. The internal routed shifting cables and a rear brake cable - which runs in the top-tube and comes out from the seat lug - indicate that Mr. Coletto wanted to build something uncommon. In particular, it is really impressing how meticulously the seat post and seat lug have been drilled to be able to host the cable housing, and how the seat tube and BB shell have been customised to accept internal routed shifting cables. Definitely something you won't find to any "mass-product" frame!
Being also an aero frame - with aero shifters and aero fork blades, it is equipped an iconic Shimano Dura Ace AX groupset.
If you are looking for an uncommon classic bicycle, truly handcrafted and rare, this Coletto is the right choice! A beauty from the mid-1980s...
