Description
The Colnago Arabseque Régal Classic Bicycle from 1987 unites some of the most extraordinary features you can find on a road bike of the 1980s: The lugs, the tubing, the groupset.
Ever since Colnago came up with the beautifully ornamental Arabesque lugs, bicycle lovers all over the world tried to get hold of a one of the rare bikes with these iconic pieces. Unfortunately the number of frames with Arabesque lugs is limited and the number of collectors is high enough to have quick and totally absorbed each piece that has ever entered the market.
This Arabesque model is a even more special one. It is the last model in the glorious line of Colnago Mexico frames which marked the top of the line of Colnago's production since the 1970s until it made way for the Colnago Master for good.
This last Mexico model was called ESA-Mexico and had six significant crimps on top tube, down tube and seat tube. A fancy Colnago paintjob and engraved details on the frame were obligatory.
Then there is the breathtaking complete Campagnolo C-Record groupset from 1987 with Delta brakes. One of the most awe inspiring groupsets ever made. And ours even includes a pair of searched for (of course NOS, too) C-Record Triple Bearing pedals - never ridden but once and then left to catch dust.
The bike as a whole is one of the opportunities which pop up seldom enough for you to get hold of such a rare and highly collectible piece of 1980s road bike design.
You will hardly find a second model in this condition and completely outfitted.
