Description

Colnago may be seen as a traditionalist brand among current tier of top race bike manufacturers. It may well be true, it is one of the most iconic badges in the business after all, but the spirit and substance of Colnago cannot be further from sticking to outdated thinking. In 1986 Ernesto Colnago shocked the cycling world when he introduced the "Concept". Collaborating with Ferrari Engineering, Concept was one of the very early full carbon constructed frames with carbon fiber tubes and also lugs. The drivetrain was also an engineering marvel with internal gearing completely sealed behind the chain ring. It never went into production, but this very model led to later extra-successful bikes like C40.

Exactly 30 years alte r it was followed by the second edition of Concept. It is the fastest bike of Colnago line-up thanks to extremely streamlined shaping, excessively tested in a wind tunnel. It has been designed, but not solely, for speed. While it can rocket stars like Alexander Kristoff to sprinting triumphs, it still provides adequate composure and comfort and it allows you to spend all day in a saddle without unnecessary fatigue.

The Colnago's connection with Ferrari allows for a little motorsport parable and we can definitely call this Concept a superbike. Equipped with one of the best grupset you can get - wireless Sram Red eTap - it reacts fast and sharp and the long battery life will keep you trouble-free on even very long epic rides. You will be able to carry serious speed also thanks to Zipp 404 "new" deep aero wheelset or indeed Continental tires. The bike is then completed with Zipp Service Corse SL stem, Colnago carbon bars, KMC golden chaind and Ceramic Speed pulley wheels.

And as a bonus, a pair of limited Golden edition of Supacaz carbon bottle cages is included.

A breathtaking bike born for speed, but with roots interwoven with tradition as well.

The total weight is 7.15 kg, which is really great for a true aero bike!

The size is 52s (sloping geometry with 55 cm C-C top tube, equals 56 cm classic geometry - see stack).
