Description
Few bicycles have influenced the scene as much as the Colnago Super. At a time when racing bicycles were heavy with long wheelbases, Ernesto Colnago released a bicycle which would become a legend of cycling history and the top model of his 1970s catalogue - the Super.
Made of Columbus SL steel tubes - with a shorter, stiffer and lighter frame - the Colnago Super was designed for high-performance. Since its launch, most racing bicycles have been built with a geometry inspired by the Super.
This Colnago Super dates approximately to 1973. It is equipped with one of the best groupsets of its time - Campagnolo Nuovo Record with a special touch of precisely drilled big chainring. But the rest of the parts is equally fine. Starting with period correct Cinelli cockpit, Mavic rims or NOS Larcia saddle. The frame is then refurbished in Eddy Merckx Molteni team colors, a reminescence of the special edition of Eddy Meckx edition Colnago made back in the days.
This Colnago Super is a great choice for vintage bike fans. Suitable for classic cycling events.
