Description
Colnago has always been a very creative frame builder and the evolution of the Mexico series perfectly illustrates this. First released in 1972 to celebrate Eddy Merckx world hour record, the Colnago Mexico was slightly different from the Colnago Super - built with even thinner Columbus tubes - but shared with that glorious bike the aggressive racing geometry: short, light and very stiff. The second step was the Colnago Nuovo Mexico first released in 1982 and continued in the year 1983 with minor differences. It was built with profiled Columbus SL.
The peak of this remarkable design evolution culminated in the Colnago ESA Mexico, a bicycle that hit the market with a very distinctive six-crimps tubing designed by Columbus in collaboration with Colnago. The result was a stiff and light frameset with an aggressive racing look.
This Colnago ESA Mexico is in original and impeccable condition and is fully equipped with a Campagnolo Super Record groupset, 3ttt Colnago stem and bars, San Marco Regal saddle by Colnago and Mavic MA 40 clincher rims laced on Campagnolo Record hubs. Just the best of everything!
Checked, lubricated and adjusted: ready to be ridden at the next Eroica. The must have for any Colnago collector!
