Description
The Colnago Master is undoubtedly the evergreen of the cycling history. First released in 1983, five different versions of the Colnago Master were manufactured until 1998 ( the Master 1983, Master Più 1987, Master Olympic 1991, Master Light 1994 and Master X-Light 1998).
The Master series undoubtedly represents a peak in steel frame manufacturing, but on the other hand, also marks the decline of the steel era in the bicycle industry.
This particular Colnago belongs to the first generation of the Master series – from 1983 to 1987. The indicators are the one-point lugs (after 1987 they became three-pointed) and the externally routed brake cables. The highlight of this racing bike is certainly the distinctive Columbus Gilco S4 tubing with crimped section which was specifically designed by Gilberto Colombo to improve the general stiffness and the mechanical withstand of the frame. The result is a very stiff, light and high-performing frameset.
This Colnago Master if fully fitted with a top class Campagnolo C-Record groupset, including a set of beautiful Cobalto brakes. Simply the best of everything.
