Description
Here we offer you a Colnago Master. It has one of the special colour schemes for which Colnago started to become famous from the 1980s on. The first generation of theColnago Master was released in 1984, the same year in which Giuseppe Saronni of the team Del Tongo won the Giro d'Italia - riding a Colnago Master, of course.
The Master was meant to be an improvement of the Mexico which had been Colnago's top model before. It had completely different lugs and a drastically changed tubing.
Any cyclist out there dreamed to own a Master, just like any avid collector nowadays has one in his collection. The frame is literally an "evergreen". The tubing - "Columbus Gilco Design - Profilo S4" - has profiled sections and was specifically designed by Gilberto Colombo to improve the stiffness and to better withstand mechanical strain.
The master had a huge impact on the cycling scene and became the most winning rod bike model in the following years.
Our Master is not the very first version but the improved one with an internally routed cable for the rear brake. Plus it has the sweet paint and the nice parts.
What could be better than elegant Campagnolo C-Record components for a great machine like this? Maybe nothing but a Campagnolo C-Record groupset with the iconic Delta brakes.
Just the best of everything!
