Description
Colnago Master from the 1990s is certainly one of the most recognizable and sought after classic bicycles. It is admired for its extraordinary tube profile and unprecedented ride comfort. The frame is built of special Gilco Profilo S4 Columbus tubes. The profile of these tubes has a special star shape, which makes the bicycle very rigid when for example accelerating, but allows surprisingly smooth and comfortable ride at the same time.
But this particular bicycle is even more special. It was built as a genuine racing bicycle, as the brazed number holder and especially very rare extended lugs show. In the 1990s, an extended seat tube lug was pretty useful for a long-legged cyclists at a time when long seat posts were not readily available. But the extended head tube lug is much more rare. It allows to increase the handlebar position and standover clearance above the top tube. These interesting details really set this bicycle apart.
It is equipped with a Campagnolo Chorus groupset as well as a Campagnolo Record Hubs, Tornado leather saddle or Mavic clincher rims.
This famous bicycle rides fast, glides over an uneven surface with ease and looks so well. Now is the right time to experience this stunning bicycle yourself!
