Colnago Master Olympic Decor Classic Road Bike 1994

The Colnago Master model line is undoubtedly the evergreen of cycling history. First released in the mid 1980s, five different versions of the Colnago Master were introduced until 1998 ( the Master, Master Più, Master Olympic, Master Light, and Master X-Light).

Thanks to these superb frames, the Italian brand achieved a peak of steel frame design, but on the other hand, the Master also represented the interim end of the steel era in the bicycle industry.

Introduced in 1991, the Master Olympic shares with its predecessors the famous profiled tubes, originally designed by Gilberto Colombo to make the frame stiffer and more reactive. The Olympic distinguished itself for slightly oversized tubes and very eye-catching paint schemes, especially the famous Art Decor pattern.

The bike we are presenting here is a Colnago Master Olympic in its original flamboyant paint scheme. The frame has been constructed using the profiled Gilco design Columbus tubing. Components are, of course, Campagnolo.
But it is not any Campagnolo group. This Master olympic is equipped the Campagnolo C-Record groupset in its last version - a beautiful and elegant gruppo.
The bike is getting even more special by offering a set of Shamal wheels, an extra which has been quite costly back in the mid 1990s.

The frame and its colours shine brightly and, after a quarter of a century, this Master still is a dream bike.

A great machine which is so reliable that you could ride it everyday or take it out weekends for a club ride.
