Description
Here we offer you a Colnago Master from the year 1985. You don't often find such an early exemplar in the great condition that this one is in. The very first generation of the Colnago Master was released in 1984, the same year in which Giuseppe Saronni won the Giro d'Italia - riding a Colnago Master, of course.
The Master was meant to be an improvement of the Mexico which had been Colnago's top model before. It had completely different lugs and a drastically changed tubing.
Any cyclist out there dreamed to own a Master, just like any avid collector nowadays has one in his collection. The frame is literally an "evergreen". The tubing - "Columbus Gilco Design - Profilo S4" - has profiled sections and was specifically designed by Gilberto Colombo to improve the stiffness and to better withstand mechanical strain.
The master had a huge impact on the cycling scene and became the most winning rod bike model in the following years.
What's better than elegant Campagnolo C-Record parts for a nice machine like this? Maybe it is nothing but the very first generation Campagnolo C-Record groupset with Colnago pantographed Record brakes.
Just the best of everything!
