Description
The most winning bicycle of the cycling history, the Colnago Master was first released in 1984, the same year in which Giuseppe Saronni won the Giro d'Italia riding a Colnago Master indeed. With this model Colnago achieved the peak of its steel frame manufacturing, but on the other hand, the Master also represents the end of the steel era in the bicycle industry (the first Colnago carbon prototype dates back to 1987).
The very first version of the Colnago Master was produced until 1987-1988, before the Master Più was launched. The latter differs for the internal routed brake cable and for three-points-lugs.
The frame is made of "Columbus-Gilco Design - Profilo S4" tubes. Very light and stiff, this tubing set has profiled sections and was designed by Gilberto Colombo to improve the comfort and to better withstand the mechanical strain.
This Colnago Master is also fully equipped with a Campagnolo Super Record groupset. The perfect bicycle to take part in L'Eroica without renouncing a more modern steel frame!
