Description
Manufactured to celebrate 1972 Eddy Merckx world hour record, the Colnago Mexico is one of the most iconic bikes which left the legendary factory in Cavenago (Milan, Italy). Slightly different from the Colnago Super, the Mexico model was built with lighter "Columbus KL 4/10 Record" tubes and with chain stays without indents for tire and chainring clearance. Everything else, including the racing geometry, was shared with the Super model.
This Colnago Mexico dates back to 1974 and is in impeccable condition with original paintwork – a very elegant yet racing looking green – and original decals. The bike underwent a complete check in our workshop where all Campagnolo Record parts have been serviced to make sure the bike is ready to ride and deliver a unique riding experience. Nisi rims and a pantographed 3ttt stem are the cherry on the top.
Wether to enrich a serious collection or to take part in Eroica events worldwide, this 1974 Colnago Mexico is the right choice for demanding riders and collectors.
Italian cycling heritage at its finest.
