Description

Colnago Mexico Classic Road Bicycle from the early 1980s. Released in 1972 to celebrate the Eddy Merckx's world hour record set in Mexico City, the Colnago Mexico was basically a development of the older Colnago Super: same geometry but thinner Columbus SL tubes. Colnago manufactured two different versions of the Mexico before launching the Nuovo Mexico in 1982.

This Colnago Mexico dates back to the early 1980s and is a second generation, according to the internal routed shifting cables in the BB shell. As clear at first sight, the frame is the highlight of this stunning bicycle. The Columbus SL tubes have thinner walls - approx 4/10 - and underwent a full chroming, which makes the frameset both rarer and more durable.

Ernesto Colnago has been always known for his obsessions for details. Just as this model shows with its many pantographed parts with the brand engravings.

Some Campagnolo Super Record parts complete the right equipment such a bicycle deserves. Just the best!

A must-have for Colnago fans!
