Description

First manufactured to celebrate 1972 Eddy Merckx world hour record, the Colnago Mexico is one of the most iconic bikes which left the legendary factory in Cavenago (Milan, Italy). Slightly different from the Colnago Super, the Mexico model was built with lighter Columbus tubes and with chain stays without crimping for tire or chainring clearance. Everything else, including the racing geometry, was shared with the Super model.

This Colnago Mexico dates back to the 1970s and still got its original paintwork – a very elegant blue, with probably less patina than you would expect – and original decals. The bike underwent a complete check in our workshop where all Campagnolo Record parts have been serviced to make sure the bike is ready to ride and deliver a unique riding experience.
Pantographed brake levers are the cherry on the top.

The rock solid Campagnolo Record groupset is upgraded by a wheelset with rare blue Mavic SSC-rims.
Whether to enjoy a perfectly functional classic racer or to take part in Eroica events worldwide, this 1970s Colnago Mexico is the right choice for riders and friends of fine 1970s bikes.

Italian cycling heritage at its finest.
