Description
One of the most iconic bikes to leave the famous factory in Cavenago, Italy, the Colnago Mexico was produced to celebrate the 1972 world hour record of Eddy Merckx. The next step in its evolution became the Colnago Nuovo Mexico, first released in 1982. It was built with profiled Columbus SL tubes which had distinctive crimps on the sides of the top and down tube.
This Nuovo Mexico dates to 1984 or 1985, as can be taken from the unique double-crimped down tube that was introduced after 1983 to increase stiffness. The superb frame still has the original paintwork and its decals are original too. This bike has been built up with Campagnolo Super Record parts, 3ttt finishing kit and FIR rims. A classic specification for a Nuovo Mexico.
This bicycle has been treated with care in our workshop by our team of expert mechanics. Serviced and rebuilt, it is ready to grace the white gravel of your next Eroica event.
