Description
Colnago Mexico Classic Road Bicycle from the early 1982s. Released in 1972 to celebrate Eddy Merckx's world hour record in Mexico City, the Colnago Mexico was basically a development of the famous Colnago Super. It has the same geometry but thinner Columbus SL tubes. Colnago manufactured two different versions of the Mexico before then launching the Nuovo Mexico in 1982. This new version had additionally crimped top and down tubes which resulted in greater stiffness
Our Colnago Mexico dates back to the early 1982 and shows all the typical details.
The refurbished frame sure is a highlight of this stunning bicycle. The Columbus SL tubes have thinned walls - approx 4/10. The chainstays are chromed and you find the typical engravings everywhere.
What would suit this bike better than a Campagnolo 50th anniversary groupset? Exactly the right equipment such a bicycle deserves. Just the best!
