Description
One of the most iconic bikes which left the famous factory in Cavenago (Milan, Italy), the first Colnago Mexico was produced to celebrate Eddy Merckx' 1972 world hour record. The Colnago Mexico was slightly different from the Colnago Super - built with even thinner Columbus tubes - but shared with that glorious bike the aggressive racing geometry: short, light and very stiff.
The next step in its evolution was the Colnago Nuovo Mexico first released in 1982 and immediately brought to victory by Giuseppe Saronni in the 1982 World Championships. It was built with profiled Columbus SL tubes which had distinctive crimps at the top and down tube.
This Colnago Nuovo Mexico is fitted with a collectible Campagnolo 50th anniversary groupset and has been checked by our mechanics: ready to take part in Eroica events worldwide!
Simply classic.
