Description
Like many other companies, Colnago tried to set new trends concerning the material for their frames. They were among the first to experiment with carbon fiber and titanium frames in the 1980s. They famously constructed the Bititan, which had two downtubes, followed by the 'regular' Titanio or 'Monotitan'. Then in the late 1990s they changed the structure of the top and downtube completely, thus creating the Colnago OvalTitan Titanio Road Bike.
Our exemplar is one of those bikes. The frame got the typical impressive 'Decor' airbrush-style paintjob for which Colnago was already famous then. As for the fork, Colnago had the specialists of Time make a carbon fiber version of the iconic Precisa fork.
A frame like that deserves nothing but the best components. So the Campagnolo Record Titanium parts which you will find on our bike were just mandatory.
One of the best bikes available at its time and still an awesome ride!
