It was born from a collaboration with Columbus, which designed a special SLX tubing with a crimped down-tube with an increasing diameters, from 28.6mm diameter at the head tube to 32mm at the bottom bracket. According to the internally routed rear brake cable and the straight fork blades, this model approximately dates back to 1991-1992. The light and sturdy Columbus SLX tubes and the straight fork, which also allows a more precise and more comfortable steering compared to traditional forks, make this Colnago Spiral Conic a bicycle designed for racing. It has been furthermore professionally repainted with care, thus it is flawless.
