Colnago Super 50th Anniversary Bike 1983

Few bicycles have influenced the cycling scene as much as the Colnago Super. At a time when racing bicycles were averagely heavy, with long wheelbases and flat angles, Ernesto Colnago released a frameset which would become a legend of cycling history and one of the top models of his 1970s and 1980s catalogues – the Super.

Made of Columbus SL steel tubes, with a shorter, stiffer and lighter frame, the Colnago Super was designed for high-performance. Since the launch, uncountable racing bicycles have been built with a geometry inspired by the Super.

This particular Colnago Super dates back to 1983 and illustrates a typical "Saronni" red paintwork, which is in great condition thanks to a professional refurbishment
The bike underwent a complete service: all parts have been checked and adjusted to make sure it works as fine as it did back in the day. Bar tape, cables, Saddle chain and tires are new.
