Description

Few bicycles have influenced the cycling scene as much as the Colnago Super. At a time when racing bicycles were averagely heavy, with long wheelbases and flat angles, Ernesto Colnago released a frameset which would become a legend of cycling history and one of the top models of his 1970s and 1980s catalogues – the Super.

Made of Columbus steel tubes, with a shorter, stiffer and lighter frame, the Colnago Super was designed for high-performance. Since the launch, uncountable racing bicycles have been built with a geometry inspired by the Super.

In the late 1980s, Colnago gave its former flagship, a facelift and added some extras. The evolution of the line led to the so called Superissimo. But for a short time it was called a Colnago Super '91. A model which featured chromed head lugs and an internally routed rear braking cable. The seat lug cluster went through some modernisation, too, whilst the successful geometry got even more sportive.

Our Super '91 comes in a classic red with white decals and is completely equipped with Campagnolo parts, a beautiful combination which forms a classy and elegant symbiosis.

An archetype of Italian road bikes.
