Colnago Super Classic Road Bicycle 1971

Few bicycles have influenced the scene as much as the Colnago Super. At a time when racing bicycles were averagely heavyweight and long, Ernesto Colnago released in 1968 a bicycle which would become a legend of the cycling history and the top model of his 1970s' line. Made of Columbus SL steel tubes, with a shorter, stiffer and lighter frame, the Colnago Super was - and actually is - a high-performing bicycle. Since its launch, most racing bicycles have been built with a geometry close to the Super's.
This Colnago Super dates back to the year 1971 and arrived at Steel Vintage Bikes in an already refurbished condition. Which basically means that it got completely new paint.
Early Campagnolo Super exemplars are terrifically sought after especially those from the Team Molteni era. So to no surprise our Super is painted in the distinctive Molteni orange.
